annette1985 asked: I uploaded several images to a subdirectory i have and now i cannot access them. I want to directly link to them for an e-bay listing. My website is not published yet. Does it have to be? I thought once the pics were stored on the net, then they are there to be retreived at any time. It is similar to the following: \subdirectory\ebay\nameofpic.jpg
i tried putting my website address in before this and it gives me an error.
PS tech support for my webhosting service is no help whatsoever. Please help. THANKS
Elaine

pianodirt asked: Is this possible?
For example, if I want to find out where www.google.com or www.wikipedia.com is hosted, can I do that? I want to find out where people are buying their webhosting services from. I’m sure a site like google have all their own servers, so maybe that’s not a good example. How about www.snopes.com?

beau2fuldisaster asked: I am new at web design, and in the process of trying to find a good web hosting service. I plan on having lots of videos and photos on my sites, and was wondering what kind of features are the most important for me to be looking for when searching for a web host. Are some servers faster than others? If so, which are the fastest? And is it better to go with a windows or linux server? Are there any other important features that I need to look for? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

teewhy asked: I’m looking into starting a social community website (using SQL, PHP etc.) and was wondering what sort of web hosting package I would need to host the site? Do i need a dedicated server? Can I use a virtual one? What should I look out for from my host? I cant predict rapid and massive traffic when i launch it, but I’m being optimistic and hoping to sign up several 1000 users monthly (the host would therefore need to cope with several users being on-line at once). Can anyone give me any advice on this? What sort of traffic can I expect? What sort of band width should I look for? What size of webspace should I look for?Users will be able to upload photos, videos and music on the site too (with limitations). And possibly unlimited emails!
Thanks alot!
